DAMA/NaI results on neutral nuclearites

Neutral nuclearites

This may be a new form of matter containing roughly equal number of up, down and strange quarks.

1999 - The search for such neutral nuclearites has been carried out by using the same set-up and strategy as in the SIMPs search.

In an exposure of more than 1 x 106 cm2 sr day data, no delayed coincidences were detected in the multiple scattering region of interest for these particles.

New model independent upper limit at 90% C.L. on neutral nuclearites flux has been obtained:

Φnucl < 1.9 x 10-11 s-1cm-2sr-1.
