Results on 2β decay processes in 108Cd and 114Cd with CdWO4

2008 - 2β decay processes in 108Cd and 114Cd have been investigated with the help of a low background CdWO4 crystal scintillator (mass of 434 g):
Data of the low background experiment to study the rare beta decay of 113Cd with the help of low background CdWO4 crystal scintillator were used to search for double beta processes in 108Cd and 114Cd New limits were set.

In particular, for 108Cd:
T1/22ν2K > 1.1(1.9) x 1018 yr at 90%(68%) C.L.
T1/20ν2EC > 1.0(2.7) x 1018 yr at 90%(68%) C.L.


and for 114Cd:
T1/22ν2β > 1.3(2.1) x 1018 yr at 90%(68%) C.L.
T1/20ν2β > 0.81(2.9) x 1021 yr at 90%(68%) C.L.
