Useful Information
The Workshop will take
place in the Casa Bianca complex,
located on the road connecting the villages of Sinalunga and Asciano,
in the Chiana valley.
Group transportation will be arranged from Rome Fiumicino
"Leonardo da Vinci" Airport to the workshop site on April 8, departing
around 2pm. Participants unable to arrive in the morning of April 8
are encouraged to anticipate their flights to the previous day and to contact
the Workshop Secretary, Mrs. Isabella
Colace, who can find for them a proper accommodation in Rome. A return
bus will leave for Rome Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" Airport early
in the morning on Sunday, April 13.
Casa Bianca has
30 double rooms, in two-room cottages with two independent bathrooms
and a common living room with a sleeping couch, and 9 double rooms
in the main building. Additional housing can be found, if needed, in nearby
villages, but living there will require an independent means of transportation.
We may thus be forced to encourage double occupancy
if we receive many registrations and end up close to the maximum number
of participants.
A tour to interesting sites in the area will be organized for the afternoon of Friday, April 11.
The (all-included) daily prices are as follows:
To reach the Casa Bianca complex by car follow Highway A1 up to the exit n.28, "Valdichiana". In Sinalunga follow directions to Asciano and Casa Bianca. More details can be found using the convenient Michelin page. Asciano or Sinalunga can also be reached by train (Florence - Siena - Chiusi - Rome line), and from there Casa Bianca can be reached by taxi (~15 Euro each way ).
